As someone who works in the t-shirt printing trade, I thought it was about time there was a simple to understand guide, which helps the uninitiated get a good job, at a fair price.
So what are your options?
I suppose it all breaks down to three general areas:
- Embroidery
- Screen printing
- Various low volume types of printing.
So which of the above should you choose?
Well before you choose there is another factor that will effect your decision.
What type of garment do you want to decorate?
This can range from a simple white t-shirt, to a multi layered jacket.
Colour i.e. whether the garment is white or coloured, makes a difference to what process is used.
Thickness and obstacles like zips, pockets, seams and hoods all have an impact on which process can be used.
